There have been some major changes in my life since the beginning of September.

I feel stronger and fitter than a year ago. I have moved to Stirling University in Scotland and have taken up rowing again. I’ve learned to cook, met some really genuine people and I have some great flatmates.

I train in the gym with Brett every day and ski with him and Mike Crawford every week at the Snow Factor in Glasgow. I am enjoying being back in education and loving my course and Brett and I have been to Landgraff and Wittenberg to train slalom.

I am loving the support I get from the Scottish Institute of Sport who are literally on my doorstep, they will make a huge difference to my wellbeing and fitness.

I miss Canterbury but I have already been home for a weekend to see my Mum and to do a talk at my old school, King’s Canterbury.

I’m lucky to have Brett, Claire, Oscar and Jane (my scottish family) nearby so I don’t feel isolated.

The season is fast approaching and It’s great to be in a better place than I was a year ago. I will keep you posted with our progress in the run up to the World Championships at the end of January.

Thank you you to all our Sponsors for this season. We can’t do this without your support.
