Back on snow in Austria

Back on snow in Austria

by | Oct 29, 2019

I am writing this blog from Tux in Austria. It is our first time on real snow since January, where Brett and I trained with the Royal Navy Winter Sports (RNWSA).

Since then, we have trained regularly in Landgraff throughout the Summer months and really got some hours under our belt – in between some rib and hand injuries.

This week we have seen a massive difference in our confidence. Brett is skiing even more confidently this season, which makes it much easier for me to follow him.

I felt strong and more determined than I’ve been in a couple of years. I still have a way to go to get back to pre-crash form but I really felt like I can do this.

Thank you Hammy for a great camp and great coaching.

It’s been a while since I smiled in the mountains!
