World champs 2015

World champs 2015

by | Mar 30, 2015

So Canada was amazing. We came away from the World Champs with two medals; one silver for Giant Slalom and a bronze for Slalom. Thrilled with the bronze as it was a very difficult and Icy course, we were lucky to complete both runs cleanly it was thanks to great training, coaching and guiding. Lots to work on for next year.
As we have finished racing for this season I want to thank Jen Kehoe for guiding me. She worked so hard to get back on snow after she ruptured her ACL in December 2013. She was training with me less than a year later…awesome! We have had a great season and are both improving all the time. We both enjoy what we do and also have lots of fun doing it. A big thank you to you, Jen.
After returning home from Canada I went back to school to try and catch up with work and get back on track with my GCSE revision. I did try and work while we were away but I have left rather a lot to do in the next couple of months. A huge thank you to my teachers for getting me up to date every time I go away…I love my school!
I have recently attended the Para SnowBall in London, in aid of DSUK. I had such a great time and was lucky enough to sit next to Pippa Middleton…she was great fun. Jen and I had to do a question and answers on stage with John Inverdale…I think we did an ok job and then the amazing Dave Smith gave a talk about his life…he is incredible! All in all a very good night and some fund raising for DSUK.
Seeing as it is the end of the race season for me, I have lots of people to thank for this season; Euan Bennet for all his hard work this year, he has been so consistent in my skiing life and a reason why I always love training and working hard; Fiona young for all the hard work behind the scenes; James Redpath for sorting out the team and getting us to wherever we need to be and dealing with our constant questions; the support team of physios, Chris and Abi and Dr Niall;  Dougie Crawford for all his experience he has brought to my training…he’s lovely; Ross Green for his great coaching and wacky ways; DSUK for always being there. They have supported me from the beginning…THANK YOU!; To all my supporters who make it all possible; Jen for putting up with me for a whole season. 🙂 and last but not least to my amazing Mum, I would not be doing any of this without her. She has made so many sacrifices for me and my sport…I love her loads!

Roll on the Summer training and next season!

Thank you to my sponsors

Recovering from yet another concussion had undoubtedly taken its toll, physically, mentally, and particularly on our progress on skis and training.
