In November, Brett and I went to Austria to train on the Hintertux Glacier. Training went well and progress was made.
I was home for nearly 2 weeks before heading back out to Reiteralm, Austria, for some great training ahead of the start of the World Cup events in St Moritz and Kuhtai.
We have 8 races before Christmas – these are important for selection to the Paralympics GB team going to South Korea – I will keep you posted.
In my time off at home, Brett and I attended The Times Sportswomen of the Year as nominees for the young women’s Category.
The award rightly went to Ellie Downie and we had a fantastic time meeting so many incredible sporting men and women.
As I write this blog, I am in St Moritz waiting for the snow to clear to start the World Cup season. There is too much snow and the slopes are closed. It’s a bit frustrating but it means I can catch up with some admin
Brett and I would like to wish all our sponsors and supporters a very merry Christmas and an awesome New Year.
Thank you.
The following week I was invited to do a Q & A, on stage, at the SportsAid Ball in London. What an honor this was, as I was sharing the stage with sporting royalty, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
I have also been nominated and Shortlisted for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year. This was announced on Blue Peter and I got a much longed for Blue Peter badge.
I am up against some sporting greats – Ellie Downie again, and Phil Fordham. I am unlikely to win this award but I am really happy to have been nominated.
